Villa will host Man City at Villa Park tonight, with both teams searching for 3 points in order to stay in touch of the chasing pack at the top of the Premier League.

Both teams are aiming to capture the champion’s league title at the end of the season with clashes becoming ever more important.

If Aston Villa beats Manchester City tonight they’ll be on the same amount of points whereas if City wins it will be a much needed kick start to their Premier League campaign.

Midfielder for Villa, Steve Sidwell is expected to start after missing their last match due to a hamstring injury. Luke Young isn’t match fit at the moment so is expected to return after the international break. Stuart Downing will also miss the match as he has an injured foot in addition to Curtis Davies who has a damaged shoulder.

Manchester City will see Emmanuel Adebayor play again after his three match ban after stamping on Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie. The strikers return will be a large boost to the team as he has scored in each game he’s played this season. Roque Santa Cruz is likely to be on the subs bench after returning from injury.
